Food was good! The staff and customers were great and very accommodating to my little guy (pup)! They made sure his bowl was filled with plenty of water. The patio is definitely a nice spot and the drink specials were good. Ordered onion petals for an app - the horseradish sauce was a little watery. I had the blackened mahi sandwich with a side of the sweet potato salad - very good... The salad was different, but a tasty different. The mahi portion size was perfect! Totally worth it! My other half had the boneless wings extra hot - not recommended. He's a lover of anything uncomfortably hot. The sauce was absolutely extra hot, but lacked flavor. Better luck next time I suppose!

The staff is refreshingly friendly and the atmosphere is comfortable. They have THE BEST Philly cheese steak I've ever had ( disclaimer: I've never been to Philly ). Prices are very reasonable and each day is something new in the way of specials and events. Great addition to Port St Lucie.

I also want to like this place. We have gone twice. The food was bad, the place was VERY loud, the service was bad and the bathrooms were dirty. Not just paper towels on the floor dirty, but red algae rings in the toilet bowl because they haven't been cleaned dirty. The first time we went we ordered the french dip with mash and gravy as a side and a blacked mahi sandwich with mac n cheese. On the french dip, the bun was way past soggy (maybe toasting it and draining the meat a bit would help.) The mashed potatoes were gluey and cold. The food was served on pressed wooden plates. That kind of disgusted me because of the porous surface and that they don't handle heat well, I just wonder what was crawling around on the plate that shouldn't be there. The mahi was soooo thin the fish was dried out. The mac n cheese looked good with a bubbly cheese top. Til you peeled it back and realized there was no cheese under it. Just some naked noodles. My fiance picked through it and found a bit of cheese in the bottom corner of the crock. We decided to chalk this up to it being a new place and they were still trying to work out the kinks. We went in for the second chance on their grand opening thinking that they would be ready and well planned. We thought wrong. I understand they were slammed so I was more understanding when no one acknowledged us at the door. After a few minutes of just standing there, We grabbed a couple empty seats at the bar. As I said before, we knew they were weeded (both of us have been in the biz) so we sat patiently. The bartender never gave us her name or told us about any grand opening specials. My fiance ordered the pork roll with egg and I got the beef nachos off the appetizer section. No egg on his sandwich and his fries were ice cold. My nachos were soggy and sitting in a pool of liquid I can only guess came from the diced tomatoes not being drained. The was very little beef on it and they were served on the same small wooden plates. The nachos were $9.99 and I expected more for that price. Same dirty algae ringed toilets in the bathroom again. We may go and try the wings. We have heard good things about them. This may be a place to eat first and go there for the drinks and TV's...Please get it worked out! We want to love you!

I've heard good things about Tail-Gators from a few friends so when a cravings for wings popped up on Sunday we decided to give it a try. It was pretty quiet being Sunday around 4 pm which was fine by me. Almost like having alone time with some delicious wings! And I have to say these wings were pretty damn good. We got 2 16 piece wings as you can have 2 flavors for each 16 piece ($14.49). We got Honey BBQ, Medium, Swamp sauce, and Glades sauce. The wings were HOT and crispy even while they are coated in these delicious sauces. We also got a side of Parm Fries and Onion petals. The fries were good, hot and crispy, however the fries at the bottom became saturated in oil... BUT, the onion petals were served with this tasty horseraddishy dipping sauce they had a decent amount of onion in each petal, it wasn't breading and a sneeze of onion. The blue cheese that comes with the wings and celery was also very good and had plenty of mild blue cheese. Our server was very nice and helpful explaining what the specially named wing sauces were. The medium wings could have been tossed in a bit more sauce. Although it was flavor full the medium wings were nearly dry. So we rolled them around in the Swamp and glades sauce. I could see this place having a great atmosphere for a game night there are plenty of TV's, seating, beers, and specialty adult drinks. Also, if you check-in on Yelp you receive a $5 off $25 coup! BONUS!

We were starving and since the burgers last night kinda disappointed us, we decided to try another bar and grill. Sooo, my be Yelped and found Tailgators. We Yelped to see what looked good and the Chicken Bacon Avocado sandwich caught our eye, so we entered. We asked the server what was on special and she said wings!!! Boneless or regular $.75 each... Sold! So we decided on boneless with the the teriyaki sauce. The chicken sandwich and a side of French Onion Soup. I am so glad that we got those wings because they were outstanding! The wings were meaty, crunchy, and we couldn't stop eating them As was the French onion soup with was full of flavor and cheesy goodness. Special thanks to our server Jade, she was friendly and fast.

Came here while passing by Port St Lucie. They have 75¢ wings (with or without bones) from 3 to 6pm. We went with the teriyaki boneless wings and they were delicious. The server, Jade, said they make their own wings with their own breading and chicken. I think it's a must when you come here. I also ordered a chicken bacon avocado sandwich which was ok. It definitely needed more sauce. They do have craft beer for $5. I would stop by again when in PSL.

I don't think this place knows what it wants to be. It's billed as a sports bar with 22 TVs. We went today with college football, but they didn't offer the SEC network. Just as well because you didn't stand a chance to hear any game because the place is LOUD. Not many people there, but the noise level carries and the acoustics are atrocious. We had to shout at each other to have a conversation at the dinner table. So not a good place to watch a game or have a conversation. We ordered steamed shrimp which came out hard, rubbery and tasteless. We had to send it back after a couple of bites. Simply awful. They were clearly understaffed. Our server Nicky was friendly and did her best, but she was stretched way too thin. We liked her but service was slow as it seemed she had to cover both the bar and restaurant. On a positive note, the wings were good. They had karaoke that evening. So do they want to be a sports bar, a restaurant or a music venue? We won't be back because a meal is not enjoyable if you have to scream to converse. And there is no point in going for sports if they don't carry a full lineup and you can't hear any of the game.

Took a long time to be greeted at the door. Staff looked at you but did not say anything. No one waiting. Took long time for a waitress to come to the table . Ordered the rib special. Took a long time for food to come out. People walking out or complaining . Room very LOUD. Hard to talk Not very many people in restaurant. No music playing just loud. Poor room design. Waitress does not come back after taking order unless you flag her down, tea unsweet had a musty taste , old ??? The food had better be worth the wait!!!! Have been here 45 minutes from the time we walk in the door..... Still waiting for food. 50 minutes food arrived warm flavor OK. Price is good . Don't think worth the wait . Probably won't come again ......due to service.

The food is very tasty for a traditional sports bar. Our table had appetizers and there was more than enough to go around servings are big and the food is flavorful will definitely go back

The gator bites are really yummy. The meat is cooked just right and it's not overwhelmingly seasoned or breaded. If you are visiting Florida then this is a place to check out and at least give gator a try. Located next to Nutrition's Mart. Full bar. Flat screen tvs for watching sports. Great place for family, a date, and friends gathering. Tip: Their menu has recently changed. Both land and seafood. Their filet mignon steaks are delicious. The chefs will make it to how you like it.

Arrived Saturday after 2:00ish small front bar filled. We were asked if we wanted them to open the back bar. But a nice man got up and ,over so we could sit down.very nice, plus he was getting food too. The wine I was not thrilled with, I ordered a mixed drink, my friend like that, because there HH from 11:30-7:00pm. We shared the Mahi Mahi fish taco (3) $9.99 . The tortilla was not warmed or anything so it tasted raw But Not bad Cause the stuff inside was OK Sara the bartender said she was new there and this place is new too. She was good and attention.

My boyfriend and I went here for the first time last week. We are kind of skeptical about trying new places but I was craving for some gator tails so we decided to give this place a try. The food was phenomenal. The gator tail was just right not too chewy and not too soft. My boyfriend is a picky eater and he was beyond happy with the wings he ordered! I would recommend this place to all our friends. The bartender was real friendly. Needless to say we will be back. Thank you guys for making our experience a good one!!!!

So I was torn between giving Tail Gators three or four stars, and I may end up coming back to revise my rating after trying it again. My husband and I haven't been in Port Saint Lucie for very long, but this place definitely has some of the better food that we've eaten. Everything that we tried was absolutely delicious and we've been craving the wings since we ate there! The food came out of the kitchen quickly and our server was very friendly and polite. I did not like the atmosphere in Tail Gators as much as I loved the food. We went at an off time so it was kind of empty, which we usually expect when we go out at 2 or 3:00. What was weird was that there were several tables with no one sitting at them that hadn't been cleared, and they stayed that way the entire time we were there. Maybe they were short staffed that day, but it was a little unappealing to look at. Next time we will try sitting at the bar or out on the patio. Overall, loved the food and will definitely go back.

The turkey burger was a frozen patty and not fresh, huge chunk of raw onion on each plate. The After Party burger was okay. They put spam on it and call it a pork roll. Light staff for a Sunday food took a while to reach table. Overall wasn't bad wasn't great. Looking for a wow in a new place to bring folks back. Great atmosphere loads of tvs for the sports fan.

Love Tailgators. Brian is the best! I go with my gal pal to enjoy some drinks and eat some dinner every few weeks. In addition, when at home we order food through Eats Delivered. My boys love their food. Particularly the "After Party" burger. My oldest son is rather picky so I was a little concerned when he ordered this have all burger but he loved it. I personally LOVE hot stuff. Whenever restaurants say "hot wings" they aren't really "hot!" So I ordered extra hot and thought I was going to die. Thanks for that kick in the butt. Shows me not to judge. Welcome to the neighborhood, Tail Gators! :)

They are okay. I can say their popularity must be the bar then the food. It's definitely a good time while here. The Cheese Sticks are fantastic and the Green Beans are a must have. After that the food is pretty good. I can say this very easily-service is lacking. We had our appetizer on one of our visits given to another table and when our food came out that is when our server found out that we never received it. They definitely need to refocus on customer service. Other then that they're not bad.

Small portions for the price. Food is average. If the portions were consistent with the price i would give it a 3-4 star.

I don't know what other people are talking about but we just tried the gator tail and hand breaded mozzarella cheese sticks OMG! It's a great restaurant and sports bar atmosphere all in one. I would totally come back here again, the only thing I wish they had was clam chowder but I'll live lol!

First time here. Place looks great. The wait was a bit long but the food was worth the wait. The burgers were excellent and the philly steak was very tasty. If I'm ever in this area again, I'll be back. Thanks Tim for be so nice.

We needed a dog friendly place to stop for a sandwich while the realtor was showing the house. Real nice outside place with real friendly service. It is nice out of the way to sit with my dogs. I got a maui maui wrap and my husband got the French dip

Took the wife and daughter here Friday night. May 8 2015. Not too impressed. The food is the same as almost every other restaurant in the area. With the exception of the gator bites, which are pricey but good. Kind of slow for a Friday night around 5:00PM. Was hoping for something different and new in the area.

I really wanted to like Tail Gators. I went in with my mom about three weeks or so after they opened and the atmosphere, at first glance, is awesome for the sports fan; they have eighteen TVs all around the restaurant showing the game. At a closer look the room looks a little bare for a sports bar and oh, so sloppily put together. There are exposed wires in every direction and tables just randomly placed throughout. I think the set up is what is contributing to how loud it is in there but obviously I'm not an expert. That being said, they've just opened and I'm sure that will eventually change so it didn't bother me. What bothered me was that the service was subpar (obviously the waitstaff hasn't been fully trained yet) and the kitchen is SO SLOW. We waited forty minutes for two cheeseburgers and fries. I ordered my burger medium rare and without tomato and my mom ordered her burger medium well. Both orders came out well done and with all of the toppings. I will say this: a huge burger for the price and the fries were great! I'll be going back again but I'm really hoping the service increases. Service: 3/10 Food: 4/10 Atmosphere: 6/10

My family tried Tail-Gators out on opening night! We were very impressed with the restaurant's fun, family friendly atmosphere and comprehensive menu. We were all able to find a favorite dish as well as some we had not expected. Garlic cheese fries were ordered as an appetizer and they disappeared very quickly across the table. I didn't hear any complaints! The teens had philly cheese steak and roasted chicken avocado sandwiches and they were even able to choose a veggie side instead of the usual, French fries, which they did- on their own!! Dad had the open-faced meatloaf sandwich with his choice of a side. He chose the green beans and said the meatloaf was very good; homemade. Dad's SO is a vegetarian and ordered the BLT minus B with a side salad. The sandwich was fresh and tasty, she kept raving about the meatiness of the tomatoes and the crisp lettuce and perfect toastiness of the bread. The salad was also crisp and fresh. Hubby ordered the blackened mahi dinner with two sides: rice pilaf and mixed veggies. He liked it very much. He would have preferred fresh veggies, but the fish was seasoned well and he was impressed with the pilaf's flavor and texture. I zeroed in on a dish I was not expecting to see on the menu, mussels marinara, and I chose a side salad for my side (it also came with grilled garlic bread, which I ordered dry and could have eaten a whole loaf of with that yummy marinara sauce). There was a very generous portion of plump, fresh, perfectly cooked muscles and garlicky, luscious marinara over linguine (I could have chosen cavatelle also). There were beers, soft drinks and my vodka Martinis ordered (all wonderful) and the teens had red velvet cake for dessert, which didn't stay on the plate long enough to evaluate! They said, yum! Overall, we had a great experience, delicious food and a fun night! We will definitely return and can't wait to see the place as it gets settled and fine-tuned! Bravo!
